Turn on the spot lights and give em’ the old razzle dazzle! This specialist Dance & Theatre camp will happen over the course of four days, from Tuesday 27 to Friday 30 August.
Attendees will make full use of the fantastic fully equipped Performing Arts Centre at Hatherop Castle School.
We’ll be exploring Roald Dahl’s classic, Matilda, through song and dance. And we need some revolting children to sing revolting songs using revolting rhymes!
Camp will run from 10am - 4pm Tuesday - Friday, in which you will learn the songs and dances in a fun filled environment from our expert teachers!
This camp is designed for children aged 7-15 years old.
What is the best finale to this camp?....A performance of the Matilda Megamix for parents to attend at 14:30 on Friday 30th August!
Ticket price includes a hot lunch everyday as well as a custom camp tee-shirt to remember your performance!

MEET THE CAMP LEADERS
Catt Hurman
Catt Hurman is a Singer, Dancer and Actor based in Bristol. She originally trained at the prestigious London School of Musical Theatre and The Urdang Academy and is currently on a break from touring the UK with “Ahh…Freak Out” – the Hit 70’s Disco Show. She also performs all over the UK with Little Mix Tribute “The Little Mix Show”, Mamma Mia Tribute “The Dynamos” and various others. Catt can also be found regularly singing in London Cabarets such as “Front of House, Front and Centre”, “Mrs Riots” and “Stars of the Future”.
Outside of performing, Catt enjoys teaching Musical Theatre to young people in the Southwest. She is very excited to work with a group of enthusiastic budding performers, exploring the joy of musical theatre and honing their skills in a creative and fun-filled environment!
Becky Hennessey
Becky Hennessey is a Performing Arts Teacher and Professional Singer based in Bristol. She was awarded a Theatre and Performance Degree from Plymouth University and went on to become a Secondary School Teacher in a number of schools in the South West. During this time, she trained in Street, Lyrical, Jazz and Musical Theatre Dance and is now a singer in Lane Entertainments ‘Diamond Divas’ and her own Female Vocalist Duo ‘Red and Rogue’.
She is currently chair of the longest running amateur dramatics group Bristol Amateur Operatic Society and has starred in many roles in musicals the society put on including Little Sally in ‘Urinetown’, Ms Darbus in High School Musical, Roz in ‘9to5 The Musical’ and Vi in ‘Footloose’. She was also nominated for a Rosebowl Award for Best Supporting Actress in the South West decision for her role as Roz. Becky has also performed on the Bristol Hippodrome with BLOC Productions and is now Associate Producer on the management team for the ‘Let The People Sing’ project. She is also an academy manager at PQA Bristol.
Becky adores nurturing up and coming talent within the school she teaches in and through the incredible opportunities Bristol has to offer in this exciting time. She cannot wait to work with more talented young people and share her knowledge of stage practice, teach new skills and most important of all – have fun!
